The "error in file length setting" concerns large containers on external USB-connected drives and is proved to be hardware-related problem.
Please direct you attention to the USB disk itself, to USB card and USB connection you are using.
Additionally, there are several possible workarounds:
1) Create several smaller containers instead of the single large one.
2) Create Dynamic container (for NTFS-formatted drives)
3) Create container with 'Randomize disk space in the background' option (for NTFS-formatted drives) .
4) Use BestCrypt Volume Encryption software to encrypt the whole disk.
