The usage may be the folowing:


1) Access the remote computer via Windows Network  select  a file,  a group of files or a folder

and run "Delete with wiping" command. 'Wipe Free Space' is not available for this case.


2) UNC path can be used in 'Delete with wiping' task in BCWipe Task Manager:



3) Map a network drive and run 'Wipe Free Space' from right-click menu or open the disk contents and run 'Delete with wiping' from right-click menu of files/folders. 

As well, mapped drive is shown in 'Wipe Free Space' task if the appropriate checkbox  (hide network mapped drives) is cleared.



4) UNC path can be used in command line, see the Help article:

Example:

bcwipe delete -ud1 -noswapfile -nodirentries \\JULW7\H\memdisk.bin


 

5) For Windows computers there is another solution: BCWipe Enterprise Edition.

It can wipe remote computers without any restrictions using Jetico Central Manager.
