BCWipe permanently wipes contents of deleted files with 'Wipe Free Space' operation.

It overwrites all free disk space with wiping pattern and  it is not possible to restore deleted files after wiping.

Additionally, take into account that although you deleted and wiped a file, the whole file or its part can be restored using a copy of the file.

Such copy may exist in:

1. Restore Point (Shadow Copy).

Before starting the process BCWipe detects existence of the Restore Point

and removes it after your confirmation.

2. Some temporary folder.

Windows Temp or other temp folder used by the application that opened the file earlier.

It is recommended to wipe Windows Temp and 'Recently Used' list using the task "Wipe Local History" in BCWipe Task Manager.

3. Windows Swap file.

It is recommended to wipe the file (enable the option) or to encrypt it using CryptoSwap

utility embedded in BCWipe.

4. Windows NTFS Log file.

Enable the option "Wipe NTFS Log file".

To wipe names of wiped files there are two options: "Wipe MFT records" and "Wipe Directory Slacks".
