Working in a multi-OS environment, you might want to have a container that can be mounted on Windows, Mac and Linux. To create one, please follow these instructions:
- If you are carrying a container on a USB stick, make sure the USB stick is formatted with a file system that can be read by any OS, e.g. FAT or exFAT
- Use Password-Based Encryption instead of Public Key Encryption or Secret-Sharing Scheme. It is fine to use key files, encrypted header or custom iterations additionally.
