BestCrypt Container Guard utility is an integrated part of the BestCrypt system.
The utility monitors file system operations and protects file-containers from accidental deletion or removal. If you try to delete a file-container using, for example, Windows Explorer, the operation won't be completed with 'File is locked' error. The utility can be easily disabled by computer administrator, thus, it is not intended to protect from an intruder.
The Container Guard utility protects files with .JBC extension of the name. If you rename a container and change the extension, Guard Utility will not protect it. As well, it protects BestCrypt archives (.BCA) and key block backup files (.KBB).
Container Guard utility can be enabled/disabled from 'Utilities' menu or using 'Shield' toolbar icon:
